About Us

Gareth Lewis, the founder of Lewis Tree Services, is an Environmental Science graduate from Aberystwyth University. After working in environmental/agricultural research, Gareth re-trained as a Tree Surgeon and worked in Utility Power line Tree Cutting for Scottish Power, whilst building up his own business, Lewis Tree Services. Gareth has significant experience in domestic, commercial and agricultural tree work.

We have a keen interest/passion for trees and aim to retain specimen trees where possible. We are happy to advise on the structural health of trees, taking into consideration the immediate environment.

Our tree surgeons are fully insured and qualified to NPTC and City and Guilds standard, and we work in accordance to BS 3998 standards. Our work also complies with AFAG guidelines.

With safety being of paramount importance, risk assessments and method statements are prepared as required. To keep our staff and you safe, we regularly service equipment and ensure it conforms to industry good practice, for example LOLER testing of climbing equipment. In addition to this, Lewis Tree Services is approved by safecontractor, the leading health and safety assessment scheme in the UK, plus Constructionline, the UK’s leading procurement and supply chain management service.
